Richard scoops angling prize with 140lb haul

Lindsey Lodge member Richard Pollitt raced ahead of the anglers to win the 2022 angling competition organised by the Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee.

He was one of nineteen Lincolnshire Freemasons and family members who took part in the event at Westwood Lakes in Boston on a scorcher of a day when sunscreen ruled the day.

Richard’s haul of 140lbs 12oz secured him top spot and winner of Section A, beating into second place Barry Robinson of Paulinus Lodge with 60lbs 12oz, with Terry Ball of Hermes Lodge with 45lbs in third spot and David Wootton from St Botolphs Lodge, fourth overall and winner of Section B with 42lbs .
