Round-Britain charity walker Chris Jones writes: “Managed the longest walk so far today, just under 16 miles. Had a great day off in Hull yesterday, managed to wash all my clothes and sort my kit out.
“My wife Michelle dropped me back at the Humber bridge on her way back to Lincolnshire, and I walked back to Hull. Paths all the way along the bank which was nice. I visited two Lodge buildings in Hull but unfortunately there was nobody in either so I wasn’t able to get in for a look round.
“Fish finger butty for lunch and then back on the road. A lot of road walking in the afternoon to get past the docks and the ferry terminals and then back out onto the waters edge.
“I stopped in Paull as there’s a b’n’b, but unfortunately they had no spare rooms. However, a very nice man I was chatting to at the bar offered me a bed so I didn’t have to wander out of the village and pitch the tent in the dark… thank you Shaun Mcglynn, it’s been a pleasure meeting you and thank you for your hospitality. Good luck getting that motorhome and getting away on your own adventures… 😉👍😎
