New members of the Earl of Yarborough Lodge in Grimsby are enthusiastic about being presented with their masonic case ‘Freemason Starter Kits’, according to feedback they’ve given.
One said it had made him feel involved from day one; another felt more confident in walking into the building for meetings; and a third felt proud to have it.
Another suggested an improvement to the contents of the case by adding lyrics of the songs sung at the Festive Board – a dimension already included by other Lodges offering similar Starter Kits, such as St Lawrence in Scunthorpe and Glanford Vale in Brigg.
The latest candidate to be given a case was Ashik Kordhaku, who is pictured above with, from left, Barry Flint lodge, ADC; current Master Antony Hall, Ashik, Peter Brookes, Lodge Mentor; and David Gentle, Lodge Almoner. This is the sixth starter kit case presented this Masonic year, four having ben given to new initiates and two to Fellowcraft. Lodge Membership Officer Steve Dickson said the Lodge intended to add the lyrics to future cases, as well as making them available to anyone who wanted a copy.
