Peter flies from Australia for Centenary Meeting at Hereward Chapter

Companion Peter Chapman flew in from Australia the day before the Centenary Meeting of Hereward Chapter so that he could take the seat of Haggai when the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent Dave Wheeler and a large number of members of his team joined the landmark event.

More than 70 Companions attended to watch the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent present the Centenary warrant and two Grand Chapter certificates, as well as consecrating new robes, sceptres, and centenary jewels.

This was a wonderful evening, particularly for the three principals. As well as Peter having flown in the day before, it was the first full meeting as J for Mike Haynes, and it was the birthday of Z, Nick Garner, who celebrated by treating all the Companions to a glass of port, and receiving a new Lincolnshire Provincial gavel for the festive board.
