Freemason Ben Pharaoh, right, Master of Grimsby-based Lord Heneage Lodge, and Robin Gracie have been to the North East Lincolnshire Carelink to present a cheque for £500 from the Freemasons’ New Provincial Benevolent Fund to Victoria Fisher, Chief Executive Officer of North East Lincolnshire Carelink.
Carelink, which has been running for 25 years, supports vulnerable people using telecare to help them stay at home. The charity provides various telecare equipment which highly-trained staff can explain and demonstrate as well as install. The organisation’s monitoring centre is open 24/7, 365 days a year to offer help or reassurance. Said Victoria: “We are just a button away to be able to provide individuals, families and carers peace of mind.”
The £500 donation is one of more than 70 made by every year by individual Freemasons Lodges in North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, and Lincolnshire as just part of the organisation’s commitment to charity.
Lincolnshire Freemasons in those areas are currently working towards raising at least £2.25m for charity as part of a five-year fundraising festival. All of the money is raised by the Freemasons themselves through donations, raffles, and fundraising social events.
