Alan Robinson reaching 50 years in Freemasonry was recognised at a meeting of the Round Table Lodge of Lincolnshire – whose master wasn’t born when Alan was initiated.
Alan reached his 50-year milestone the day before the meeting, which took place on the 49thbirthday of WM Chris Jones, who initiated Tristran Russell, a very active Round Table member in the Horncastle and Woodhall Spa Round Table. Tristan’s uncle W Bro Jim Barnes came from Purley Lodge 3136 for the ceremony.
Chris said: “Alan was the first member of the Round Table Lodge No. 8240 to go through every step on the ladder and into the Chair, which he did in 1981. To mark such an historic occasion, we enjoyed a number of bottles of port at the Festive Board.”
