W Bro Barry Topliss handed over the LMSC Secretary’s position to W Bro Gary Limb at the AGM held at Skegness Masonic Hall. Chairman W Bro Bruce Goodman presented Barry with a LMSC Certificate of service depicting his gift, and to his wife Carole Flowers to mark over 33 years membership for them both. The Chairman told the meeting attended by over 70 Linkmen and Ladies that W Bro Topliss had been a member of the Social Committee since 1987 when it was set up to support the 1991 Craft Festival and raised £33,000, and on its completion because they had had such an enjoyable time a few Freemasons and their Wives decided to carry on. Since then the many enjoyable events has enabled the Social Committee to donate well over another £100,000 to Charity. Over those years W Bro Topliss has been Assistant Secretary, Organiser of many events including the yearly Sunday Lunch and Concerts, and the last 12 years as Secretary. It’s not goodbye as Barry will continue to organise events the next being the Sunday Lunch at Hemswell 7th June.
