When Peter Rafferty became Master of Hamilton Lodge in Alford he decided that the £370 raised in his first raffle should be given to support Boston’s Butterfly Hospice, where Lodge member Tony Mee had spent his final days.
He went with the Lodge Charity Steward Colin Harpham to hand over the funds to Hospice CEO Bridget MacPherson, herself a Boston girl.
Peter said: “After having a tour of the facility it is clear that Tony was in very compassionate, caring and dedicated hands. We are proud to support such a caring group of people who look after those in direct need, as well as those affected by impending and actual loss.”
