The winner of our first Gerald Sclater cartoon competition is Martin Sills, of Bolingbroke Castle Lodge 8173 meeting in Horncastle. We’ve added his winning caption to the cartoon above.
PGM Dave Wheeler judged the contest – with the entrants’ names withheld – and said it had been a tough choice because there had been so many good ones.
Martin’s was his top pick, but second came ‘NO! DC does not mean Director of Catering’, written by Chuck Boulton from Paulinus, and Martin was third too, with: ‘NO, you can’t change the procession to a conga!”
Dave said the judging had been fun, and was looking forward to the current week’s entries. The Week 2 contest is at this link.
