LOCAL HOPE a charity in Freiston near Boston, received a cheque for £500 from the Freemasons’ New Provincial Benevolent Fund which was put forward by the Franklin Lodge No 838. The money was used towards supplying people in social housing in The Orchards Wyberton, Richmond House and Witham Court with Christmas Goodies to try and help lift the spirits of the people living on their own this Christmas some of which had not had visitors in a long while because of lockdown. Hazel one of the main volunteers said they managed to put together 133 bags and she herself made 700 mince pies to go with the bags.
