More than 30 brethren formed an honour guard of Freemasons at the funeral of George Young, who passed away on 31st July aged 88.
A former police Superintendent with Lincolnshire Police, he was a mentor and valued friend to many in his job and beloved Craft. Because George was a native of Aberdeenshire, many of his family weren’t able to make the trip to say their final farewells in Lincoln due to local lockdown, so 12 members were able to be present at the service and support his family.
George had been a member of the Paulinus Lodge in Lincoln for more than 40 years.
