Freemasons from Brigg have been involved in the national vaccination effort by marshalling patients attending Riverside Surgery in the town. Members of Ancholme Lodge, Glanford Vale Lodge, and Ancholme Chapter responded to the call to support issued by David Hirst, the Master of Ancholme Lodge.
David said: “Once the call came from the surgery for support, I had no doubt that Brigg Freemasons would respond positively to the challenge. This proved correct, with more volunteers than we needed.”
Chris Fletcher, a member of Ancholme Lodge, said: “It is great to be involved in this important programme, even in a tiny way. After so many months meeting via Zoom, it was an added bonus to see other lodge members in real life!” The volunteers are deployed outside the surgery directing patients.
Michelle Slimm, Business Manager of Riverside Surgery, kept the volunteers warm with hot drinks, and said: “This is brilliant, thank you so much.”
