Next month sees the restart of once-popular Brigg and Barton Focus Group meetings, with Dr David Cartwright making one of his first presentations as Provincial Chapter Representative Liaison Officer
The venue is switching to the Haven Inn at Barrow, and the first meeting takes place on Monday 21st November.
Meetings are organised by Phil Spicksley, who said: “David will be able to tell us about new exciting changes within Chapter, and how he’ll work with Chapter Reps throughout the Province. These meetings were popular for a number of years and have been missed by a number of Brethren, which is why we’ve decided to relaunch them. We’re at a new venue which is a trial for meeting away from a masonic centre, although the format will remain the same. I have arranged for a private room at the hotel so that we can have a presentation as usual before a pie, chips and pea meal (£14.50) to continue our discussions and friendships.
“When we met before we had the strong association between Brigg and Barton, but that’s not a restriction. We’d welcome any brethren to share the evening with us. I hope that as many people as possible will come to sample our new venue. We’re hoping that by holding it in the hotel and not having to move from the Masonic Hall into an open pub venue for the meal, will encourage more members to attend.”
“Please let me know by email to pwspicksley@gmail.com as soon as possible if you’d like to come and I will ensure that you have a meal booked. Please circulate this to your Masonic friends, the more the merrier!”
