Brethren and Companions,
It is usual, at this time of year, to look back and reflect on the year as it draws to a close and then look forward to the new year ahead.
Last year I suggested that 2020 would be an exciting year for our Province. Looking back now, I would substitute the word ‘exciting’ with ‘challenging’. There have been many challenges in a difficult year dominated by the ongoing pandemic and yet I have been overwhelmed by the way so many in our Order have stepped up with examples, large and small, of friendship, respect, integrity and charity.
With this year almost behind us, I look forward with renewed optimism to 2021 and I hope that all areas of life will gradually return to what is now referred to as the ‘new normal’.
Christmas is a special time for families and, as part of the Lincolnshire Freemasons’ family, I wish you all well; wherever and however you choose to enjoy the festive period.
With festive and fraternal wishes,
Dave Wheeler
Provincial Grand Master, Grand Superintendent
