The crazy-hat-wearing Brayford Corks Freemasons have once again transformed the madness of one of their meetings into invaluable support of another £1,000 for Lincoln youngster Theo and his mum Kayleigh.
With Theo approaching his fifth birthday the severely disabled youngster and his mum continue to live in a home desperately needing improvements, but remain cheerful.
Corks Freemasons Mike Clay and Ian Taylor visited to give them the money. Mike writes: “Once again we were greeted well by his mum Kayleigh. We were both delighted to see how the ongoing improvements to their home were coming on, a massive step forward from our very first meeting, but still a long way to go. Like £13k just for the kitchen, the need for a gas fitter and electrician to install the gas/electric cooker that is just sitting in a corner; the list goes on, but they are in good spirits, bless them.
“We were delighted to hand over an envelope containing £1,000 in absolutely no small way helped by money donated to the Brayford Corks Lodge from the wonderful team and hard work of Preloved Regalia in Lincoln.
“The Brayford Corks Lodge raises money by holding raffles, auctions, and membership fees which is all donated on the evening to worthy kids, not national but local individuals and groups no older than 16.
“The money received from Preloved Regalia is ring-fenced and given only to individual children who are in desperate need of help such as Theo.
“In the picture Ian is pictured handing over the envelope to Kayleigh with an helping hand from Theo.
“Theo will be celebrating his fifth birthday next weekend, and both he and his mum send their love and thanks to all.
“And from all at the Brayford Corks Lodge a massive and sincere thank you to Ivor, Mark and the ladies of Lincolnshire Pre-Loved.”
