Date set for Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire consecration

Bob Chalkin from Sleaford has been told that the Grand Master has approved the petition for the creation of Lincolnshire’s 76th Lodge the Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire.

Bob writes: “It is a great relief to inform you that the Grand Master has approved the Petition for the creation of the Armed Forces Lodge of Lincolnshire.

“The Principal Officers, together with the DC and ADC have met at the Provincial office to discuss the administration of and ceremony for the Consecration on 16th September this year at Grimsby Masonic Hall.  On Sunday 11 Jun, the Foundation Committee will go through all that came out of that meeting so we can put the meat onto the framework laid out by the Provincial Secretary and Provincial DC.  I will then issue RODs from our meeting on Sunday.  Part of the early preparation for the first year of our new Lodge will confirming bookings for the venues for each meeting, and then setting the Annual Subscription.

“I have no doubt that we will need to call a meeting of all members of the Lodge, probably in early September, to finalise items and look at the filling of any vacant appointments for 2023/24.

“Remember that we are still looking for brethren to be Joining Members, as well as for Initiates; the latter being essential, if we are to have ceremonies, rather than being a dining club. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the Consecration and thereafter in our new Lodge!”
