End of life care is enhanced by Freemasons’ donation to Scunthorpe hospice
A donation to Lindsey Lodge Hospice by Scunthorpe Freemason Peter Cooper in memory of his late wife Jean is already helping other patients in its care.
Using more than £1,000 donated via funeral donations and a top up of more than £4,400 the Hospice was able to buy a bladder scanner, which the Hospice previously lacked, but which would have made his wife’s last days a little more comfortable.
Peter was full of praise for the staff, who he said had looked after Jean extremely well and with the utmost compassion.
Kirsty Walker, Fund-raising Manager at the Hospice, said: “To know you thought so warmly of us during this difficult time brings much appreciation from us all at Lindsey Lodge. Please be assured of our most sincere thanks and gratitude for your kindness.”
