More than 70 attended the Installation ceremony at the Isle of Axholme Lodge to watch Barrie Turner install his son Richard into the Chair.

Making sure it was a proper family affair, Richard’s father-in-law Steve Spavin delivered the Address to the WM. Barrie had been Master of the Lodge in 2011, having joined in March 2004. Richard had joined the Lodge the year before his father went into the chair.

Andy Urry from Vermuyden Lodge, which meets at Crowle just as the Isle of Axholme Lodge does, said: “The banter and responses at the festive board were as entertaining as we have ever seen at Crowle. It was a wonderful night.”
