Cycling for the Festival – Sunday 8th October 2023
On behalf of the Province, the Free Wheelers Lodge are organising a cycling event “The Free Wheelers 100”, which promises to be a gruelling cycle ride of 100 kms, with nearly 2,000feet of ascent, up and down the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Starting at JJ’s Café in Hagworthingham, they will have stops for refreshments at the Skegness Masonic centre (1145-1200am), Alford town square (1330-1400pm) and another stop before returning to JJ’s café (about 1600) – though timings may vary a bit, says organiser Andy Bagworth, who adds: “We will have support from motorcycle riders and also a backup vehicle for any mishaps.”
So how can you get involved?
- By joining the Free Wheelers on the cycle ride. You don’t have to be a member of the Free Wheelers and you can do all or part of the route – your choice! Family members and friends are welcome to take part too. Just drop an email to either Andy or David (details below).
- Through sponsorship (all monies raised will go to the Lincolnshire Festival 2025 fund) using one of the methods below:
Andy added: “It would be great if you could support us and the Lincolnshire Festival. Please contact us if you require further information. Thank you.”
