Freemasonry was showcased at Scunthorpe’s Armed Forces Day, with former servicemen who are now members of the town’s four Lodges manning a stand.
In the picture are former submariner Nick Fell and retired Royal Engineer Trevor Davey, who served in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. Other members from the Scunthorpe Lodges helped out through the day, which was attended by thousands at the town’s Brumby Hall Sports ground.
Organiser Nick said: “Thanks to everyone for helping at the Armed Forces Day. The weather held out and I think we were reasonably successful.
“We certainly talked to lots of people, many who said it was ‘strange’ seeing the Freemasons in public!
“We handed out lots of leaflets for the open day on July 27th, so hopefully we got some interest in that which might lead to some new members!”
