Once again, we come to that time of year when we review the past year and look forward to the next.
It’s been a tremendous year for the Province of Lincolnshire with visits from The Grand Master, HRH The Duke of Kent; the Assistant Grand Master Sir David Wootton; the Third Grand Principal Gareth Jones and the Grand Tyler Malcolm Brooks.
We have also celebrated numerous Lodge and Chapter anniversaries including the centenary of Paulinus Lodge; 150-year anniversaries at the Chapter of Concord, Ancholme Lodge and Bayons Lodge together with the 200thanniversary of the consecration of Doric Lodge, whilst the year will end with a celebration of the 75th anniversary of Lord Heneage Lodge on 30th December.
With the foundation stone being laid at the new Louth Lodge building in the summer and much work behind the scenes it has proven to be a very busy but successful year.
Looking forward to next year, the 2025 Festival will be launched under the guidance of a very enthusiastic team in January, and a new Lincolnshire Lodge, the Free Wheelers, will be consecrated in May. It promises to be another exciting year for our Province.
At this time of year, I hope that everyone has the chance to pause, reflect and to spend time with those who are nearest and dearest to them.
In closing, I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy, safe, and healthy New Year whilst remembering: “Christmas isn’t just a day, it’s a frame of mind.”
