Masterful performance: John Riding stepped in at an hour’s notice to put Tom Dickinson into the chair of Yarborough Lodge.
When floods trapped Yarborough Lodge Worshipful Master Chris Wilson on the wrong side of the River Trent, past master John Riding stepped into the breach at an hour’s notice to put Tom Dickinson into the chair as its new Master.
Fifty members attended the meeting of the Lodge, which had been consecrated in 1834, and were treated to a high class ceremony which John led with style in spite of the ultra-short notice at which he’d been asked to take on the role of Installing Master.
At the Festive Board Paul Anyan and Jim Elvidge gave a spirited rendition of the Master’s Song, as you’ll see in this video clip: IMG_5894
