Lincoln Teddies for Loving Care has been given £600 from the Lincoln Level Shots, a clay shooting club, with TLC Chairman Graham Cadel receiving the cheque from Ian Cumber.
The TLC scheme, run by the Freemasons, relies totally on donations to provide teddies for children at hospital A&E departments. A hospital visit can be a frightening experience for a young child, especially in an emergency situation, and Teddies for Loving Care is a way of providing much-needed comfort to children in these circumstances, helping to reduce the shock and distress of their experience. Every child that receives a teddy gets to take it home and keep it for ever – and many do..
The Lincoln Level Shots was formed in 2007 with the aim to have fun shooting clay targets in friendly competitions either within the Club or against like-minded opposition, while at the same time raising funds for charity and other worthy causes.
