Members of the Lincolnshire Rough Ashlar
committee have been given the green light to promote development of a Light Blue Club with the signing of its Constitution
by Provincial Grand Master Dave Wheeler.
The signing happened at the Provincial Grand Stewards’ Lodge meeting in Horncastle, watched by Club Chairman Mike Coleman, left, and APGM Jez Hyland.
Mike said: “As part of the “Engage” aspect of the Membership Challenge, is it
paramount that new members feel welcome as part of not only their Lodge, but the wider Masonic Brotherhood.
“The Lincolnshire Light Blue Club, now formally known as the Lincolnshire Rough Ashlars, is open to all newly-initiated Freemasons in Lincolnshire, and is free to join.”
The Lincolnshire Rough Ashlars is a club run by Light Blues, for the Light Blues in the Province – though it’s stressed that any Dark Blues who feel Light Blue at heart, will be welcome too.
The club will host events across the Province,
including plans for group Lodge visits, socials, dining events, ‘try-it’ style events as well as promoting town and district Light Blue initiatives up and down Lincolnshire.
Mike added: “With the Constitution now active, the committee will be working to establish the membership, arrange the first social and connect!
”For those on Facebook, please search for the “Lincolnshire Rough Ashlars” Facebook group, and include your Lodge name and number in your request to join, to keep in contact with all the latest developments.”
Dave Wheeler said he was pleased to have signed the Constitution: “It’s wonderful to see a structure within which the Province’s newer members can come together and get the most enjoyment from their Freemasonry. They are the future of our organisation, and the foundation they put down with connections made through this club will carry Freemasonry forward.”
