Lindum Lodge Freemasons share almost £8,000 amongst good causes during a busy year

Lincolnshire charities have shared in almost £8,000 given by Lincoln’s Lindum Lodge.

That’s how much money was raised during the year in office of Master Nigel Herbert, and it was raised from various events, including the Lodge’s Ladies Festival, a sponsored walk, golf day, and Lodge raffles.

Additional cheques totalling £300 were presented by Mrs Kath Alcock to St Barnabas Hospice and MacMillan Cancer support in memory of the late Bob Alcock, a member of the Lodge who passed ot the Grand Lodge above last year.

Receiving cheques from Lodge Master Nigel Herbert, pictures of which appear below, were:

Blind Veterans UK:  £2,422

Lincoln Sea Cadets: £645

3rd Lincoln Guides: £500

St Barnabas Hospice: £300

Macmillan Cancer Support:£300

LIVES Lincoln: £1,370
