The Lord Worsley Chapter Installation Meeting on Tuesday 9th October proved to be a very special occasion with the attendance of the M.E. Grand Superintendent, Excellent Companion David Wheeler, accompanied by many members of the Provincial Grand Chapter Team. However, there is no such thing as a free meal and, after the Installation and investiture of the Officers, the Grand Superintendent was pleased to present Supreme Grand Chapter Certificates to three recently Exalted Companions. These were the latest in a total of 14 new members in the last 4 years with two more candidates being proposed on the night with a third in the pipe-line.
The Grand Superintendent, in complementing the new Principals, was particularly pleased to see E Comp Greg Stratford attain the Chair as MEZ as he had only been released from hospital the day before after an allergic reaction during his chemotherapy treatment. Whilst E Comp Stratford was, understandably, unable to stay for the Festive Board, he succeeded in his absolute determination to attain the Chair of his Chapter – as were the Companions of the Chapter in seeing him do so. It was a very emotional evening for all the members of Lord Worsley Chapter made even more special by the attendance and support of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent and the Provincial Team.
