MEGS takes the chair for a memorable evening at Doric Chapter

With his Provincial team in attendance, MEGS Dave Wheeler took the chair at Doric Chapter to oversee three excellent presentations.
Firstly, the Chapter companions gave a very interesting presentation of the officers of the Chapter.
Secondly, Dave presented Excellent Companion David Sprawson with his 50-year Chapter certificate. David responded in great form and received a spontaneous round of applause on returning to his seat.
And finally, companions Adebola Adeshina and Alan Whittle received Supreme Grand Chapter certificates from Provincial Third Grand Principal Michael Carter, who provided a wonderfully unique presentation, walking the companions around the Chapter, again receiving more spontaneous applause.
Dave said: “It truly was a very special evening for all present, especially to recognise the outstanding contribution of Excellent Companion David Sprawson.” David Sprawson himself said: “Doric Chapter has always been close to my heart – but yesterday was special. A wonderful evening with so many friends of long standing and so many Companions who were complete strangers yet all eager to wish me well.”
David was initiated into Doric Lodge in December 1967, and became its Master in January 1989. He joined Doric Chapter in February 1974; became Z in 1990, and was its Treasurer from 2014 to 2023.
