Freemasons from all over Lincolnshire came to Scunthorpe to share in a presentation about the Members Pathway and a carol singing session after the Festive Board at St Lawrence Lodge.
The St Lawrence meeting on the first Monday of December traditionally launches Christmas at the Scunthorpe centre, and was attended by sixty members from as far afield as Skegness, Lincoln, and Deeping near Peterborough. Judge the quality of the singing yourself at this link: IMG_5315 where Liaison Officer Paul Anyan from Yarborough Lodge in Gainsborough rounds off The 12 Days of Christmas.
There was lots of positive feedback about the presentation, which had been given by Provincial Membership Officer Mike Clay from Lincoln and Simon Noden from Skegness, who were supported by several members of the Pathway Presentation team.
Lodge member Stuart Pearcey said: “It was good to see so many people in the room, which we haven’t had for some time. The response to the Pathway presentation certainly gave members food for thought, especially being made aware that its use wasn’t compulsory, but that the online tools were available for use by anyone interested in boosting Lodge membership by bringing in new people and retaining those already there. The carol singing went well, with organist Dr John ‘twinklefingers’ Pemberton from Barton providing a wonderful accompaniment.”
Mike Clay and his team are willing to travel anywhere in the Province to explain the benefits of the Pathway and how it can be used. For more details email him at pmolincs@gmail.com
