Scunthorpe Freemason Nick Fell is inviting Freemasons, their families and friends to get together once a month for an informal evening meal in a friendly atmosphere .
The first gathering will be on Thursday March 21st at the Queensway pub in Scunthorpe. Nick, a member of the Lodge of St John, said: “Following on from the success of the coffee mornings at Scunthorpe, I am looking to set up something very similar to what other centres in our Province, as well as other Provinces, are doing. In short it will be an evening meal once a month for brethren of the Craft, their friends and family members.
“Our first one will be at the Queensway pub in Scunthorpe (DN16 2AG), starting at 6pm. I’d like to make it a success with a good attendance? If interested people could please let me know numbers I can then book the required number of tables. There is no set meal or anything. People can just order off the normal menu on the night. The Queensway normally has a discounted meal on various days though like Curry Fridays, and people can order what they prefer. If we get enough people going I might be able to arrange a bit of a discount with the pub but I cannot promise anything!”
