The next meeting of the fledgling Nomads Rugby Lodge will be at Grantham on Saturday January 27th, and Lincolnshire brethren are being encouraged to be visitors to it.
The ceremony will be a passing, and will be followed a visit to Kesteven Rugby Club’s Woodnook ground to watch a match against Derby’s 2nd XV.
Lincolnshire’s former APGM Peter Brooks is a member of the Lodge, and suggests that its Grantham ‘fixture’ is a great opportunity for members in our Province to see something a little different from the norm. Chris Tandy, of Industry Lodge in Scunthorpe, has a role at the meeting, where he is ‘Match Ball Guardian’.
The Lodge was consecrated only in July 2022, and covers the traditional rugby ‘triumvirate’ counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire, with every meeting being followed by watching a match. The Grantham visit will be the Lodge’s second to our Province, the first having been to Grimsby.
