A pair of intrepid bears from the Freemasons’ Teddies for Loving Care charity have helped two Lincoln men walk coast-to-coast to raise £500.
Philip Crabtree of Minster Lodge No 8702 and his friend Mike Arnold did the hard work on behalf of the bears, who, like a whopping 3.5m others just like them, are given to children to help them through tough times in their lives such as hospital appointments. The money will be used to buy more bears, says Graham ‘Teddy Man’ Cadel, who co-ordinates the scheme in Lincolnshire.
