BBC Radio Humberside’s David ‘Burnsie’ Burns was taken aback when he found out on air that last year Freemasonry gave £51m to good causes in England and Wales – mind you, who wouldn’t be, for that’s almost a million pounds a week, EVERY week!

Said Stuart: “We covered a lot of ground, starting with how we’d put £343,000 into 135 food banks up and down the country, then touched on Barton members’ additional £200 for selection boxes, and then the work of Mike and Jamie Bristow and their families in Louth preparing thousands of meals for delivery by the Free Wheelers Lodge. I even managed to plug our web site at the end!”
