On Wednesday 21st February last, The Provincial Grand Master Right Worshipful Brother Graham Ives made an Official Visit with his Provincial Team to the Universities Scheme Lodge in Lincoln, St. Hugh Lodge No. 1386. As usual there was a very happy and vibrant atmosphere throughout the evening. The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master and his Provincial Team witnessed an impressive Ceremony of Raising. The work was carried out to a very high standard by a mix of senior members of the Lodge and students and the Worshipful Master, Bro. H L Donaldson, led from the front. This was followed by an excellent festive board and it was heartwarming to see the Lodge Room and the Festive Board full to capacity. All present clearly enjoyed themselves very much. In his response to the fifth Toast, the Provincial Grand Master stated that it was his wish in the last year of his term of Office to attend the Lodge with his Provincial Team. He warmly congratulated the Officers and Brethren of the St. Hugh Lodge for all that they had done to make this important venture a resounding success and he included the students present in this sentiment. All in all the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master travelled back to Grimsby in a very happy frame of mind knowing that the decision to enter the Universities Scheme in Lincolnshire through the St. Hugh Lodge had been wholly appropriate.
