Lumley Lodge member Trevor Clingan needed only 28lbs of fish to win the 2021 annual angling competition organised by the Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee.
He was one of fourteen Lincolnshire Freemasons and family members who took part in the event at Westwood Lakes in Boston on a blustery day when the fish were very difficult to find.
Trevor’s haul of 28lbs 8oz secured him top spot, beating Peter Daubney and St. Botolph’s Lodge with 25lbs 4oz, into second place, Laurence Parker with 18lbs into third spot and David Wootton from Lindis Lodge, fourth with 17lbs 6ozs.
Next year’s competition has been booked for Swallow Lake, and will take place on Friday 12th August.
