A stunning two-tier #Lincs2025 Festival cake complete with edible gavel is the latest contribution to the So Bake It Be challenge set up by Tony O’Brien of Lindsey Lodge.
The star baker is fellow Lindsey Lodge member Wade Price, who has put friends Jamie Pittam, Gary Porter, and Juliet Fevrier into the frame to take part. Wade’s cake is being auctioned, so you have until 9pm on Sunday to put in a bid on the Challenge Facebook page here.
There’s no need to wait for a nomination before you can start baking in this event – self-starters are welcome! And when you’re ready to make a donation, you can do so at the Everyday Hero fundraiser page Tony has set up at this link.
Money raised will add to the #Lincs2025 aspiration to raise £2.25m for the Freemasons’ charity the MCF during the course of our Festival. Although the planned Festival events have been brought to a halt by Covid-19, Tony and his mates have done their bit to keep the ball rolling. Provincial Communication s Officer Stuart Pearcey said: “Tony keeps coming up with fundraising ideas that people can get involved with without leaving home, proving that when it comes to fundraising, where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
