Franklin Lodge member Ian Ladds landed more than 90lbs of fish to win the 2020 annual angling competition organised by the Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee.
He was one of seventeen Lincolnshire Freemasons and family members who took part in the event on a blustery day when the fish were more difficult to find than usual.
Ian’s haul of 90lbs 9oz secured him top spot in A section, beating Gordon Ball, with 57lbs 9oz, into second place.
The winner of B Section was Barry Robinson of Lodge of Established Order with 59lbs 5oz, with David Wootton of Lindis Lodge less than three pounds behind with his with 57lb catch. The prizes were presented by Trevor Clingan, and next year’s competition has already been booked for Skylark Lake on Friday 13th August.
